I’m a big fan of Act Contact Management Software. I would recommend it to any B&B serious about keeping track of customers and giving them reasons to come back.
I have used it for over 15 years to keep track of clients, customers, prospects and members. I can customize it to keep any information I need. I use it for mass and individual letters and e-mails. I use it send faxes and even dial the phone for me. It keeps a record of my interaction with people and has a calendar to remind me what needs to be done, when it needs to be done and with whom. A B&B owner can group guests and prospects according to their interests – birthdays, anniversaries, special dietary needs, you name it. It shares some characteristics with Microsoft Outlook, but is geared to marketing needs.
Recently, Catherine and I have used it to assemble a list of over 300 B&B’s in our target states to send out information about our innsitting business.
