Our “snowstorm” at The Inn at Old Virginia, in Staunton, VA was a gentle, dry snow fall that lasted for two and a half days and accumulated to about 18 inches. One couple, celebrating their wedding anniversary, was snowed in with us. We had a great time together! — And the inn has a landscaping crew that dug us out and even shoveled the sidewalks on Sunday morning.
Friday Afternoon. The “storm” starts.
Saturday morning. In Wisconsin, we would describe this as a gentle, light, dry snowfall with no drifting.
Sunday morning. The snow had stopped, the sky was clear and the sun was shining.
Based on the snow on the tabletops on the patio, we think we got about 18 inches of snow.
Jim and Lori traveled from North Carolina to celebrate their wedding anniversary. We enjoyed being snowed in with them.
Sam and Andy, Catherine’s Little Lambs, decided to borrow a dinner plate to go sliding in the snow.
